Description of Motive

Earrings Pigeons, date from the 2nd century b.c, Macedonia.

Gold earrings from Trebenishko kale from Ohrid, Macedonia.

The earrings are made of gold, as a representation of the strong body of a dove and a hook.

The realistic representation of the dove is achieved with the filigree and granulation techniques, imitating the feathers and gathered legs of a bird in flight.

The wings are highlighted in red color.

The head and neck have a smooth plastic surface. The eye is marked with a simple application of filigree wire.
